Job Summary:

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Nursing Associate to join our team at the Olathe Medical Center. As a Nursing Associate, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic nursing skills, including vital signs, pulse oximetry, and phlebotomy.
  • Assist with patient care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in hourly rounds and respond to call lights in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate proper hand hygiene, standard precautions, and isolation principles.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing to obtain an Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
  • Successful completion of basic nursing skills class/lab
  • Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) certification
