Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Renal/Neuro unit at The University of Kansas Health System. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate assessment and input of patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching plans to promote patient understanding and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas or compact license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or higher.
  • CPR/AED/BLS certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
