Athletic Injury Prevention and Treatment Professional

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Athletic Trainer to join our team at UNC Health Care. In this role, you will work closely with athletes to prevent, assess, and treat injuries. You will be responsible for casting patients, providing splints, braces, crutches, and other DME, and educating patients on their use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Evaluation: Perform thorough medical histories and physical examinations on patients.
- Treatment and Rehabilitation: Cast patients, provide splints, braces, crutches, and other DME, and educate patients on their use.
- Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients and staff members, and educate patients on home exercise programs and therapeutic exercises.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient clinical phone calls, complete disability paperwork, and review clinic schedules and charts to verify test results or patient information.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline.
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification.
- Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners or license eligible.
- BLS for healthcare providers.
- One year of experience as an athletic trainer preferred.
Estimated Salary Range: $22.45 - $32.27 per hour.
