Key Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff in administering, monitoring, and evaluating Farm Service Agency programs to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Develops and implements operating and management plans and systems to enhance and achieve the purposes and objectives of Farm Service Agency programs.
  • Participates in the development, formulation, coordination, and implementation of overall Farm Service Agency operating and management programs, policies, and plans within the State.
  • Provides direction for the overall administrative and management activities for the State and its county offices in cooperation with the Farm Service Agency's Business Center and the Deputy Administrator for Field Operations.
Requirements
  • Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience, and/or education.
  • Specialized experience is defined as evaluating administrative practices in State and County Offices and developing recommendations for improvements, developing State Office criteria for measuring the quality of administrative/program management in County Offices, and developing and/or maintaining budgetary control of funds.
  • Education: There is no education substitution for this position.
