Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and adolescents in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage patients with a wide range of pediatric emergencies, including trauma, respiratory distress, and cardiac issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide emotional support and education.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado or current RN compact license from another state for the 1st 180 days of employment.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required; ENPC and NRP certifications preferred.
  • 1-2 years of acute care/specialty nursing experience desired.
