Job Summary

The University of Scranton seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our facilities team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, including all floors and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of facilities, including offices, classrooms, and common areas.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
  • Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with other facilities staff to ensure seamless maintenance and upkeep of facilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
