Cardiac Care Nurse Opportunity

Meritas Health is seeking a skilled LPN to join our Cardiology team. As a Cardiac Care Nurse, you will provide patient care under the direction of a physician, nurse practitioner, or other non-physician provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Competently assist providers to maximize patient volume, administer medications, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and return patient calls in a timely manner.
  • Ensure effective patient communication and efficient patient flow.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely.
  • Perform EMR tasks correctly and timely.
  • Process patient referrals timely and follow up to ensure the specialist report or test result is received.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing, or accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current license to practice in the state of Missouri.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a physician's office setting, preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.

Work Environment:

The hours of operation for the Cardiology practice are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm. Your primary schedule will be during those hours, with periodic need to work outside your schedule to serve our patients.
