Cardiac Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team at Prime Healthcare. As a Cardiac Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in attending to patients with heart conditions, cardiac issues, and associated illnesses. Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored care to enhance recovery and quality of life for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patients' cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect any changes or abnormalities.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous drugs, cardiac medications, and pain management medications.
  • Perform assessments of patients' cardiac status, including physical assessments, review medical histories, and evaluate symptoms.
  • Provide education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices.
  • React promptly to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias, cardiac arrests, or respiratory distress.
Requirements:
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous Acute Care hospital experience.
  • Ventilator management experience.
  • Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
