As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our mobile applications. You will be responsible for implementing new features, improving app quality, and ensuring reliability. Your expertise in automated testing and CI/CD pipelines will be essential in elevating our development processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain mobile apps for iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
  • Implement and maintain application features, ensuring seamless integration with the Ruby on Rails backend layer.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of mobile applications.
  • Design and execute automated tests to ensure the reliability and performance of mobile applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in mobile apps, ensuring minimal downtime and high user satisfaction.
  • Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with new mobile development trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career growth opportunities for junior mobile developers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in mobile development required.
  • 5+ years of experience writing production software that drives significant value for stakeholders.
  • Proven experience with React Native mobile framework, developing for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools for publishing apps, like AppCenter, AppStore, or Expo, and codepush.
  • Proven experience with React and Ruby on Rails, ability to implement and maintain application features.
  • Knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles.
  • Experience with third-party SDK integrations.
  • Familiarity with implementing GraphQL, push notifications, and deeplinks.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and Git.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as Sentry or Bugsnag is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal, is required.
  • Previous start-up experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with US companies is preferred.
