Role Description:

As a Traveling FTTH Technician, you will play a vital role in our installation team, responsible for the effective deployment of Fiber-to-the-Home networks in various regions. This position involves significant travel and hands-on fieldwork, ensuring the successful installation of fiber optic systems while upholding our commitment to quality and safety.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Installation of Fiber Optic Cables: Execute the installation of fiber optic cables in both residential and commercial settings, adhering to company standards and client specifications.
  2. Splicing and Termination: Conduct splicing and termination of fiber optic cables to guarantee proper connectivity and signal integrity.
  3. Equipment Setup: Install and configure FTTH equipment, including optical network terminals (ONTs), routers, and related hardware.
  4. Customer Engagement: Interact with clients professionally, providing necessary information and assistance.
  5. Quality Control: Perform tests and quality assurance checks to confirm that installed systems are functional and meet performance criteria.
  6. Documentation: Keep precise records of installations, equipment utilized, and completed work. Provide regular updates to the project manager.
  7. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Adhere to all industry and company guidelines.
  8. Travel Duties: Travel to assigned locations, performing installations in diverse regions.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in fiber optics is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in fiber optic cable installation and FTTH deployment.
  • Understanding of splicing and termination techniques.
  • Familiarity with FTTH equipment and hardware.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness and capability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to varied work schedules.
