Job Overview

Position: Traveling FTTH Technician

Eligibility: Must possess existing work authorization in the US.

  • Current residency in the US with valid work authorization; VISA sponsorship is not available.
  • Experience in telecommunications, specifically with FTTH projects.
  • A resume detailing relevant FTTH experience.
  • Access to a truck, van, or large SUV suitable for ladder installation.

We are currently seeking skilled Traveling FTTH Technicians to support our efforts in delivering high-speed internet solutions.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Installation of Fiber Optic Cables: Execute the installation of fiber optic cables in both residential and commercial settings, following company protocols and client specifications.
  2. Splicing and Termination: Conduct splicing and termination of fiber optic cables to guarantee optimal connectivity and signal quality.
  3. Equipment Setup: Install and configure FTTH equipment, including optical network terminals (ONTs) and routers.
  4. Customer Engagement: Provide professional and courteous interaction with customers, offering necessary information and support.
  5. Quality Control: Perform testing and quality assurance checks to confirm that systems are functional and meet established performance criteria.
  6. Documentation: Keep detailed records of installations, equipment utilized, and tasks completed. Regularly report to the project manager.
  7. Safety Compliance: Follow safety regulations and protocols to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  8. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to various locations as needed for installations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in fiber optics is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in fiber optic installation and FTTH deployment.
  • Understanding of splicing and termination methods.
  • Familiarity with FTTH technology and related equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to work in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Flexibility for extensive travel and varied work schedules.
