Job Summary

As a Data and Business Intelligence Supervisor for Minnesota IT Services, you will play a critical role in driving technical innovation within the State of Minnesota. In this position, you will lead the technical implementation of solutions to assist in the Minnesota Department of Health's efforts to facilitate sharing of data and transition the department's technological footprint to be data-centric.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of professionals who are passionate about data and committed to creating an innovative government that works for everyone. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical staff and working closely with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical implementation of solutions to assist in the Minnesota Department of Health's efforts to facilitate sharing of data and transition the department's technological footprint to be data-centric.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions and meet business needs.
  • Supervise a team of technical staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of data and systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of IT organizational experience in data management.
  • Experience working in a cloud or externally hosted environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years' operating in a technical or managerial role in a data area, IT operations, or application development.
  • Lead work or supervisory experience.
  • Senior or lead position at an organization that regularly interfaced with data or manipulated data.
  • Experience in multiple IT disciplines, such as app development, operations, or security.
