Business Intelligence Analyst Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at the Independent Natural Food Retailers Association. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission-driven organization by generating reports, developing visualizations, and conducting data analysis to drive key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transform raw data into actionable insights by creating dashboards, trend analyses, and industry reports.
  • Develop large semantic models used for reporting to internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with business users to define KPIs and logic used to measure success of our purchasing and service programs.
  • Provide education to business users on how to leverage our data to enhance the services provided to our members.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of experience with service-based organizations, preferably in the food industry or retail.
  • Strong user-centric approach and experience working with users to translate needs and technology opportunities.
  • Teaching and brainstorming skills while serving users.
  • Collaboration with data team members to ensure semantic models fit into the overall BI ecosystem.
  • Experience with Power BI, including creating semantic models, DAX measures, and SQL queries.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, Dynamics CRM, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and Git.
  • External Power BI Tools such as Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, and Measure Killer.
  • Microsoft Fabric and how Power BI fits in.
  • Power BI Embedded.
