About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Database Administrator to join our team at IBM Consulting. As a key member of our delivery center, you will work closely with clients to design, develop, and support applications using various database management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop database solutions to meet client requirements
  • Install and configure databases, including backup and recovery processes
  • Ensure database security and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Monitor and automate maintenance tasks using tools like OEM or custom scripts
  • Collaborate with development teams to support applications through SQL scripting and stored procedures
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in database management systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2
  • Strong skills in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with backup and recovery, database security, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Ability to monitor and automate maintenance tasks using tools like OEM or custom scripts
  • Knowledge of database design, including data modeling, schema design, and partitioning
