We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Community Cook to join our team at High Point Residence. As a key member of our food service department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Dietary Director in preparing and serving high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and prepare menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and ordering of food and supplies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training or experience preferred.
- Food Handlers Permit and background check required.
- Previous experience working with the elderly and in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
