Job Opportunity: Sous Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at La Bastide by Andrea Calstier. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Cuisine in all aspects of kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes to ensure high-quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of classic cooking techniques and flavor profiles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and leadership skills
