Medical Support Specialist

Job Summary
The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team at Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters. This role requires a multi-skilled individual who can provide support in both clinical and non-clinical functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides safe and effective delivery of uncomplicated clinical services and tasks under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Maintains sterility and cleanliness of the environment.
- Supports and performs clerical functions as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant preferred, or military medical experience with MA certification/registration required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistants (MOA, MAA, MA).
- One to two years of experience in a related healthcare field preferred.
Working Conditions
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures.
Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
