About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Evaluate and manage donor reactions, which occur at the facility, as outlined in the SOPs.
  • Manage donor deferral, reviews test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results per applicable SOPs.
  • Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI) and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed.
  • Assist the EHS program as required, including conducting pre-placement evaluations of new hires, supporting the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs, and maintaining employee medical records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized educational program.
  • Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, work as a team player, and provide exceptional customer service.
