Job Overview

The Chief Financial Officer will have comprehensive oversight of Aramark's financial operations, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A) as well as investment strategies.


This role will collaborate with Finance and Operations leadership to steer and manage the strategic financial direction of the business unit.

Working closely with Aramark's President, the CFO will engage with the functional leadership team daily to ensure that financial objectives are successfully achieved.

The position entails overseeing financial planning and analysis, operational finance, integration strategies with the parent company, and investments aimed at driving profitable growth.

Collaboration with Aramark's accounting team is essential to ensure accurate financial statements during month-end closing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set financial objectives within operations, warehouses, and SG&A in collaboration with the VP of Finance.
  • Coordinate and prepare the annual financial plan, which includes establishing client-specific targets and engaging with the President and the leadership team to set goals.
  • Analyze and compare monthly and quarterly financial outcomes, metrics, and key performance indicators against the plan and internal benchmarks, including guarantees, food, labor, working capital, and cash flow analysis.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Compile quarterly reports, including the preparation and coordination of the quarterly Operating Review.
  • Present periodic performance and financial reports to senior management.
  • Review and analyze sales, marketing, and other internal initiatives from a financial perspective.
  • Develop financial models and pro formas to assess the economic viability of proposed projects or investments.
  • Direct the preparation of special purpose or ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Lead financial system integration initiatives with the parent company.
  • Supervise a team that includes a Senior Director and Regional Finance Manager while closely collaborating with the Accounting department.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance and accounting is essential.

Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within finance or accounting, with a proven track record of achieving successful financial outcomes is required.

Experience in warehouse and inventory management, as well as distribution or manufacturing, is highly preferred.

Prior experience in leading and developing a team is necessary.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance is required.

An MBA is strongly preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Ability to effectively utilize influence strategies to impact and guide the behaviors of others without formal authority.

Outstanding communication skills across various levels of the organization are required.
