The Health and Hospital Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Health department, you will be responsible for supervising and directing a team of Environmental Health Specialists and program specialists to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance, training, and support to staff to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance functions, including standardized joint inspections and evaluation of job-related activities, to ensure compliance with departmental criteria.
  • Staff Performance Management: Conduct staff performance appraisals, including annual reviews, recommendations for merit raises, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and coordinate the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures to ensure effective risk-based inspections and compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate clearly with staff, clients, other professionals, and the public to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Three to five years working in retail food regulation, environmental health, or similar experience.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to understand and interpret technical information, and knowledge of public management principles and procedures.
