Job Summary
The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing fleet equipment at one or more locations and overseeing a team of technicians who perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of up to 60 vehicles. The manager must ensure that all work is done safely and efficiently, reducing lost productivity within the shop.

Key Responsibilities
  1. • Provide direction to technicians and lead technicians to ensure safe and efficient repair work

  1. • Oversee planning and scheduling of repair work to increase productivity and manage overtime effectively

  1. • Monitor shop performance and efficiency, taking action to redirect activities as necessary

  1. • Manage lead technicians and maintenance supervisors, overseeing daily shop huddles, fleet walks, coaching, and counseling as needed

  1. • Maintain an ongoing preventive maintenance program for assigned locations, identifying trends in road calls and break downs, and controlling maintenance costs

  1. • Manage outside repair facilities and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and federal regulations

  1. • Conduct Quality Control Inspections, track issues, and issue resolution to ensure work is properly completed and meets company standards

Requirements
  • • Advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems

  • • Experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in the transportation industry, with a focus on safe working practices and regulatory compliance

Compensation
This role offers a salary range of $96,740 - $152,020 annually, depending on experience.
