Behavior Specialist/Analyst position at Hi-Hope Service Center:

Overview: The Behavior Specialist/Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering behavioral assistance to individuals served by the agency by creating tailored positive behavior support strategies. This position requires collaboration with team members, families, and external organizations to ensure the effective implementation of support plans. Furthermore, the specialist will provide training to staff and family members involved in executing these plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of individuals receiving behavioral support services.
  • Conduct functional assessments for individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors.
  • Design behavior support strategies based on collected data and observations.
  • Facilitate training on behavior strategies and documentation processes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of support plans and implement necessary modifications.
  • Document progress notes and adhere to data tracking protocols.
  • Perform regular fidelity checks to ensure the efficacy of the support plans.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with all stakeholders involved in the individual's care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Education, Counseling, Social Work, or Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in providing behavioral support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification, along with a valid driver's license.
  • Must successfully pass background checks and drug screening.
