Position Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing preventative upkeep of the facility, including its equipment and grounds. This position involves troubleshooting maintenance issues as they arise and ensuring that maintenance services are accessible for emergency situations outside of standard working hours. The supervisor will primarily work independently and will engage licensed vendors approved by management for additional support when necessary. Assistance to residents with relocations and minor repairs is also part of the role.

  • Demonstrates the ability to self-manage and stay motivated, setting priorities and completing tasks efficiently.
  • Maintains a positive, courteous, and respectful demeanor towards residents, families, staff, and visitors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building maintenance.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, voltage, and amperage.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems, including engine design and operation.
  • Familiarity with plumbing systems, including the mechanics of fixtures, drains, and appliances.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, including principles of operation and mechanics.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, free from major violations.
