We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our Fiscal Department, responsible for providing financial administration, accounting, budgeting, and procurement services for various city/state/federal contracts and private grants.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and verify financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Research and analyze chronic fiscal issues, proposing solutions to ensure the organization's financial objectives are met.
- Procurement and Budgeting: Review and approve purchase order requisitions and payment request forms, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Staff Management: Review and approve new staff hires and changes in staff allocations for assigned programs.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of Not-for-Profit experience, preferably in DHS, HASA, and CFRS.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity, and adherence to strict ethical standards.
