Job Summary

As a Student Work Study Specialist in the Division of Visual Art & Design at Salt Lake Community College, you will provide essential support to the Architecture and Interior Design departments. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting faculty with various tasks, maintaining a clean working environment, and performing secretarial duties. You will also be responsible for answering phone calls, directing walk-in traffic, and fielding inquiries from students, staff, and faculty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to faculty and staff
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Assist with bookkeeping and accounting records
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty
  • Perform various tasks as assigned by faculty and staff
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in an office and/or customer service setting
  • Registered for 9.0 credit hours for Fall and Spring semesters
  • Work Study eligible
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a college/university environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe, AutoDesk, SketchUp, and/or Revit
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Office
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups
