PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The Housekeeping Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of camp facilities, contributing to a welcoming environment for all visitors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and request additional items as necessary.
  2. Inspect facilities to ensure the housekeeping team adheres to established cleanliness standards.
  3. Oversee the coordination with linen services to guarantee linens are prepared for guest groups.
  4. Prepare accommodations for incoming staff or guests, which includes:
    1. Washing and organizing linens.
    2. Making beds and arranging towels.
    3. Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms.
    4. Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming living spaces.
    5. Cleaning entryways and common areas.
    6. Managing waste disposal inside and outside of facilities.
  5. Check in with guests each morning to address any housekeeping needs.
  6. Ensure trash is collected from guest housing and communal areas daily.
  7. After guests depart, thoroughly clean and prepare facilities for future use.
  8. Keep laundry areas organized and free of clutter.
  9. Report any misuse of laundry facilities to management.
  10. Dispose of garbage in designated bins.
  11. Maintain cleanliness in mop and trash areas, as well as laundry rooms.
  12. Assist in the overall cleanup of the camp at the end of sessions and the summer season.
  13. Support the Camp Director with additional tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

To excel in this role, candidates must be capable of performing essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  1. Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  2. Competence in handling cleaning tools and equipment.
  3. Willingness to adapt to various tasks as needed.
