Treatment Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Treatment Specialist to join our team at the Lucile Plane State Jail in Dayton, Texas. As a Treatment Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing education and life skills classes to offenders, guiding them towards a successful reintegration into society.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement didactic sessions according to designated curricula
- Present education and life skills classes to assist offenders in basic education
- Maintain a Therapeutic Community (TC) within the facility, working closely with correctional staff to create a living environment that is peer-driven
- Guide and assist offenders in complying with facility rules and regulations
- Supervise offender work functions in accordance with program policies
- Monitor offender behavior and report incidents to appropriate treatment team staff
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED)
- Associate's degree in the field of psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, criminal justice, education, nursing, or health is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred
- A valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required
