Job Summary:

The Crisis Assessment Specialist provides emergency behavioral health pre-screening, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and referral management to patients and their families. This role is responsible for assisting patients and their families in understanding and learning to cope with behavioral crisis and facilitating appropriate transition or admission planning for those patients needing placement in Behavioral health treatment facilities or programs. The specialist will also assist families in resolving complex personal and environmental difficulties that interfere with effective social functioning. This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital.

Responsibilities:

Provide emergency behavioral health pre-screening and psychosocial assessments to patients and their families
Develop and implement crisis intervention plans to address behavioral health crises
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to facilitate transition or admission planning for Behavioral health treatment facilities or programs
Assist families in resolving complex personal and environmental difficulties that interfere with effective social functioning
Collaborate interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital

Requirements:

Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work
LPC or LSW licensure preferred
CPR certification preferred
Ability to work part-time, 16 hours per week, including every Monday and every other weekend, 4pm-1230am
