Precision Assembler - Laser Welding Specialist

We are in search of a proficient Laser Welding Specialist to join our team at Dansources Technical Services. This role entails the operation of advanced laser welding machinery, executing hermetic sealing for microelectronic assemblies, and diagnosing assemblies that fail to meet leak test standards. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in J-STD-001, mechanical assembly of compact electronic devices, and experience in environments controlled for ESD and FOD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute laser welding to establish hermetic seals
  • Operate automated machinery, conduct leak tests, and utilize vacuum ovens and thermal chambers
  • Engage with mechanical presses, inert gas mixture gloveboxes, and solder vacuum furnaces
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with assemblies that do not meet leak test criteria
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with laser welding technology
  • Capability to work under a microscope for prolonged durations
  • Ability to interpret and work from detailed process documentation and schematics
  • Proficient computer skills for accessing drawings and work instructions
  • Experience with hand tools including torque drivers and tweezers
  • Strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Possession of an active or inactive secret clearance

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 regulated environments
