The primary duty of the In-Room Dining Attendant is to deliver exceptional service to guests within their accommodations. This role is essential in ensuring that service meets or surpasses our esteemed AAA Four Diamond standards.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Service (90%)

  • Uphold high levels of guest satisfaction by adhering to the G.U.E.S.T. standards.
  • Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to all guests.
  • Answer incoming calls with appropriate language and professionalism.
  • Efficiently set up room service orders.
  • Deliver food and beverage items promptly to guest rooms.
  • Ensure thorough and exceptional service; avoid drop-and-fly practices.
  • Timely setup and delivery of all guest amenities.
  • Assist restaurant service staff as required.
  • Clearly explain menu items and suggest additional offerings as appropriate.
  • Handle all financial transactions accurately.

Side Work (10%)

  • Stock and polish items necessary for service.
  • Fold napkins and prepare for service.
  • Collect and clear trays from guest rooms and common areas.
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests.
  • Ability to remain composed and organized under pressure while working efficiently.
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple orders effectively.
  • Excellent time management capabilities.
  • Proficient in operating telecommunication devices and POS software.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food, wine, beer, and mixed beverages.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of basic financial controls.
  • Ability to respond promptly to guest needs.
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
  • Clear and persuasive communication in various situations.
  • Proficient in Micros POS and Open Table reservation systems.
  • Computer literate, particularly in MS Office Suite.
  • Adaptable to changing work environments.
  • Familiarity with local attractions and dining options.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year in food and beverage operations is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
