About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Billing Solution Architect to join our team at Slalom. As a key member of our Salesforce practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Salesforce Billing projects onsite at client locations, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that leverage the Salesforce Billing platform, providing detailed level of effort estimates and articulating benefits and risks.
  • Provide expert-level technical assistance to developers, staying up-to-date with new Salesforce product and technical capabilities.
  • Participate in sales efforts, estimating technical level of effort and presenting to potential clients, as well as creating quick proof of concepts as needed.
  • Contribute to marketing events, such as sales meetings and Dreamforce events, demonstrating thought leadership through publishing, public speaking, and client presentations.
  • Coach and mentor junior technical and functional team members, promoting knowledge sharing and growth within the team.
  • Lead or participate in technical integration discussions and design workshops, creating high-level architecture diagrams that cater to both technical and business-minded individuals.
  • Optimize product configurations to match clients' billing requirements, providing guidance and best-in-class billing strategies.
  • Act as the solution owner during projects, ensuring scope and outcomes are on track, and interview candidates as needed.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of CRM industry experience and/or CPQ/Billing implementation experience.
  • 2+ successful Salesforce Billing implementations.
  • Understanding of Salesforce CPQ and its relationship to Salesforce Billing.
  • Minimum 3 years of Salesforce platform experience (4+ years preferred).
  • Complete understanding of data models and product/pricing master data management.
  • Knowledge of the full billing cycle, including invoicing, invoice templates, payment and payment gateway configuration, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and integration into the ERP system.
  • Experience in B2B or B2C E-Commerce is highly desired.
  • Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills.
  • Prior experience as a Solution Architect or similar role on 3+ projects that were at least 6 months in duration.
  • Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire within the first several months.

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range for the Principal Architect role is $122,000-$225,000. For the Senior Delivery Principal Architect role, the base salary pay range is $140,000-$258,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
