Virtual Design Coordinator Job Description

IMEG Corp. is seeking a skilled Virtual Design Coordinator to join our team in our MN office. As a Virtual Design Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing project models for all disciplines and acting as a resource for BIM-related questions and concerns for the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project models for all disciplines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform model maintenance, setup, and provide technical support to the team as needed.
  • Lead internal BIM project kickoff meetings and act as a main point of contact for project-related BIM matters.
  • Manage project folder organization and file sharing between IMEG disciplines and external partners.
  • Develop and implement IMEG-specific content and workflows to standardize practices between offices and teams.
  • Conduct BIM-specific quality control and review current procedures to ensure corporate standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Virtual Design & Construction to ensure corporate standards are being met.
Requirements:
  • Strong Revit knowledge with emphasis on project setup and model management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Revit/design software issues independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans and drawings.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of practical applications of engineering science and technology.
Education and Experience:
  • An Associate's Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting, equivalent degree, or five years' experience required.
  • 3+ years experience in the production of construction documents and models preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull.
