Virtual Design Coordinator Job Description

IMEG Corp., a leading design consulting firm, is seeking a skilled Virtual Design Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing project models for all disciplines, providing technical support, and leading internal BIM project kickoff meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project models for all disciplines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform model maintenance, setup, and provide technical support to the team as needed.
  • Lead internal BIM project kickoff meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Act as the main point of contact for project-related BIM matters, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Manage project folder organization and file sharing between IMEG disciplines and external partners.
  • Develop and implement IMEG-specific content, standardizing workflows and practices across offices and teams.
  • Conduct BIM-specific quality control, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
  • Review and validate current procedures, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other Virtual Design Coordinators and the Director of Virtual Design & Construction to ensure corporate standards are met.
Requirements:
  • Strong Revit knowledge, with emphasis on project setup and model management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Revit/design software issues independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans and drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of practical applications of engineering science and technology.
Education and Experience:
  • An Associate's Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting, equivalent degree, or five years' experience required.
  • 3+ years experience in the production of construction documents and models preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull.
  • Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises.
