Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Representative to join our team at Del Monte Foods Company. As a Field Representative, you will be responsible for serving as the primary liaison between growers, harvesting crews, and trucking companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist trucking companies in positioning trailers in the field.
  • Deliver fruit grade sheets to growers.
  • Ensure growers have an ample supply of field ID tags.
  • Assist growers with field tag information if needed.
  • Monitor harvest activities in the field and report any issues to the proper person(s).
  • Retrieve reports from growers.
  • Enter crop information into Google sheets.
  • Converse with grade station inspectors regarding fruit grading issues.
  • Assist Field Supervisor in field maturity sampling.
  • Pick samples of trial fruit for testing purposes.
  • Cooperate with cannery personnel to run trial tests through the cannery.
  • Update Field Supervisor with harvest-related information.
  • Cooperate with cannery personnel as needed.
  • Gather and collate harvest and quality information for Field Supervisor.

    • Must be at least 25 years of age (due to company car rental requirements).
    • Must possess a valid California driver's license and have a clean driving record.
    • Must provide a DMV printout of their driving record prior to hiring.
    • Must be able to drive several hundred miles per shift.
    • Must be willing to stay the duration of the harvest.
    • High School Diploma optional.
