Job Title: Part-Time Patient Services Representative

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Patient Services Representative to join our team at SNI Companies. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology firm in Mercer County, NJ.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Greeting and Support: Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, providing a positive first impression of our facility.
  • Medical Records Management: Assist patients in completing necessary forms and documents for medical records and services, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Information Provision: Provide information about our healthcare facility, services offered, and answer inquiries from patients and their families in a clear and concise manner.
  • Record Retrieval and Release: Retrieve and release medical records to authorized personnel, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
  • Request Processing: Process requests for medical records in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining accurate tracking and documentation.
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management: Enter patient information into the EHR system accurately and promptly, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Demographic and Insurance Updates: Verify and update demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Patient Inquiries and Concerns: Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration related to patient care and records.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Adhere to relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements regarding patient privacy, confidentiality, and medical records management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology, health information systems, and electronic health record (EHR) systems; strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry, record management, and communication.

Work Schedule: 20+ hours a week, with varying shifts including Monday and Tuesday (12:30pm - 4:30pm), Wednesday and Thursday (7:30am - 11:30am), Friday (7:30am - 4pm), and occasional Saturdays (7:30am-11:30am).
