ABOUT THE POSITION
The perfect candidate will possess a background in procurement, quoting, or supply chain management, with the ability to communicate effectively with both vendors and clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in all procurement activities, including competitive sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the shipment of materials.
- Address customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver comprehensive quotes to clients.
- Analyze customer specifications and liaise with vendors and internal departments to ensure quotes are accurate and competitive.
- Manage customer orders from initiation to project completion, which includes order entry, issuing purchase orders to suppliers, and coordinating with internal teams as necessary.
- Work alongside Sales Representatives to clarify and determine customer project requirements.
- Provide support to internal departments with their purchasing and quoting requirements.
- Perform various administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, quoting, or supply chain management.
- Proven ability to interface and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Understanding of contract principles.
- Familiarity with the construction or electrical industry is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong skills in prioritization.
- Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines consistently.
- Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and focused.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Professional representation of the company and discretion in supply chain-related decisions.
- Adaptability to a rapidly changing and demanding work environment.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good negotiation and problem resolution abilities.
- Familiarity with procurement and quoting processes.
- Ability to work independently while fostering a team-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willingness to travel to meet with customers and vendors as required.
- Must be prepared to undergo background and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
