Kitchen Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Operations Manager to join our team at Outback Steakhouse. As a key member of our back-of-house team, you will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards, ensuring efficient kitchen operations, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high quality standards consistent with Outback Steakhouse policies and procedures
- Assist in set ups for the opening crew in the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient start to the service period
- Check schedules, shifts, and kitchen coverage for expected in-coming team members, ensuring adequate staffing levels
- Adhere to all safety procedures and hold team members accountable for maintaining a safe working environment
- Check out notes and details regarding the kitchen closure from the prior day, ensuring a thorough understanding of the previous day's operations
- Review inventory levels on a daily basis, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste
- Prepare to receive shipments and orders, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of goods
- Keep track of shelf-life adherence, ensuring that all perishable items are used within their designated shelf life
- Confirm all of the temperatures on freezers, dish machines, and refrigeration units are in compliance before prepping food, ensuring a safe and healthy food environment
- Maintain knowledge of the flavor profiles and specifications of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes
- Follow recipe cards with no compromise, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
- Review the daily sanitation checklist and conduct the necessary checks, ensuring a clean and hygienic working environment
- Conduct daily health inspections, identifying and addressing any potential health and safety issues
- Adhere to established sanitation, temperature, and food safety standards, ensuring a safe and healthy food environment
- Observe and work the flow of order tickets to ensure quality cook times, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
Requirements
- Desire to become a certified trainer in any back-of-house functions, with a focus on developing and maintaining a high-performing team
- Desire to lead and motivate others to positively impact all guests who visit our establishments, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Experience in the restaurant industry or other high-intensity customer service industry, with a focus on maintaining high quality standards and ensuring efficient operations
- Meet the minimum age requirement of 21 years of age, with a focus on ensuring a safe and healthy working environment
- Able and willing to work a flexible schedule, with a focus on meeting the needs of the business and delivering exceptional customer service
Preferred Requirements
