About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and administering the Core Lab laboratory, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality assurance. This includes supervision of laboratory supervisors, clinical staff, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Staff Supervision
    • Recruit, select, and train laboratory staff
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching
    • Ensure staff compliance with laboratory policies and procedures
  • Quality Assurance
    • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs
    • Conduct proficiency surveys and review QC & QA programs
    • Participate in the hospital quality assurance program
  • Fiscal Management
    • Manage laboratory budgets and financial resources
    • Ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology or related field
  • ASCP or equivalent certification
