Job Description:

An international automotive parts manufacturing company is currently seeking an experienced Japanese OEM Program Manager to support their operations in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' work experience in project / engineering management, technical sales, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.

This is a full-time, direct-hire position. Occasional visits to customer sites on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain documentation regarding project status, engineering changes, product information, etc.
  • Communicate with customers regarding projects and provide status updates
  • Creation of department / project activity reports for internal use
  • Act as point of contact for customers to address any urgent questions, requests, or issues
  • Projecting potential inventory, material, and manpower needs for projects
  • Assist with budget planning and cost reduction analysis
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with internal employees and customers regarding project status
  • Responsible for the whole process for program launch including product development
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Mechanical Engineering field, OR in Business Administration is preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years' work experience in Automotive Sales, Program Management, Applications Engineering, or Technical Sales with Toyota or Honda
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication ability in a multicultural environment
  • Organizational and time management ability
  • Up to 20% business travel may be required
