Job Title: Senior Battery Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Battery Engineer to join our Transportation Technologies team in Plymouth, MI. As a Senior Battery Engineer, you will be responsible for performing testing and evaluation on a variety of products to ensure compliance with national, international, and industry-specific performance and durability standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of products to determine compliance with applicable standards
  • Read and understand client-provided or published performance or product safety standards
  • Set up and operate standard test equipment, including battery cyclers, temperature/humidity chambers, and vibration test controllers
  • Compile test results and submit reports to clients and management
  • Communicate project status and test results to clients, sales personnel, and management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 3+ years of demonstrated work experience with battery testing
  • Demonstrated experience with automotive (SAE, OEM specific), or international performance and environmental simulation test standards, and/or U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards
  • Knowledge of cell and battery performance and safety standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization, and time management skills
