About the Role

We are seeking highly qualified educators to join our team as Scoring Assistants in Sciences. As a Scoring Assistant, you will play a critical role in evaluating responses of teacher candidates in California, ensuring the quality and integrity of our assessment programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate responses of teacher candidates in California, applying our scoring guide and rubric requirements.
  • Successfully internalize training and scoring guide, demonstrating a deep understanding of our assessment programs.
  • Participate in discussions and consensus scoring activities, collaborating with other scorers to ensure accurate and consistent evaluations.
  • Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must meet one of the following qualification goals:

  • Hold a Single Subject Teaching Credential corresponding to the content field, have at least three years of teaching experience, and be teaching or have taught within the last three years.
  • Be an instructor in a California institution of higher education who, in the last three years, has taught classes corresponding to the content field.
  • Have served as a Single Subject Assessments for Teaching scorer in the content field.
  • Have an authorization to teach in California public schools in the corresponding content field.
  • Hold a graduate degree in the content field.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree and have several years' professional experience in the content field.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree and/or master's degree and be a graduate student currently teaching courses in the content field.
  • Have served as a CTC-approved member of the appropriate CSET test development and/or standard setting panel.
