Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Financial Counselor to join our team at Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient financial counseling and education to ensure patients understand their financial obligations.
  • Work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to resolve financial issues and concerns.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies, billing departments, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Develop and implement effective financial counseling strategies to improve patient satisfaction and reduce financial stress.
Requirements
  • Experience in automated/computerized account follow-up system(s)
  • Coursework/Training in medical terminology, medical billing, or a related medical business field
  • 3 years of experience in Financial Counseling, patient financial services, or medical billing in a hospital Business Office
