Be a Key Player in Marine Construction

As a CAD Drafter at Bellingham Marine, you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of marina and dock construction projects. Your drafting expertise and knowledge of engineering principles will be utilized to create complex and accurate plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create clear and complete construction and fabrication drawings from various sources like sketches, notes, and specifications.
  • Utilize your knowledge of engineering practices and software like AutoCAD to bring designs to life.
  • Perform flotation calculations to ensure dock modules meet design specifications.
  • Consult with other departments and on-site project managers to understand needs and develop procurement specifications.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in drafting or related field, 3 years of related drafting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with experience in 3D drafting software. Solidworks or AutoCAD Inventor a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and completeness in all drawings and calculations.
  • Ability to handle revisions and make adjustments to designs as needed.
