About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Innova Solutions. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of advanced airborne systems, including podded communication link and sensor systems, airborne armament equipment, alternate mission equipment, cockpit displays, avionics, and radar systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of advanced airborne systems, including design, integration, and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new and existing systems onto airborne, shipborne, and ground vehicles.
  • Design and develop new products and test hardware, utilizing mechanical engineering expertise throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Utilize 3-D CAD modeling software to create design solutions that meet product requirements.
  • Support production, integration, and testing, and develop solutions that leverage commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products paired with custom hardware.
  • Research and distill information from vendors, and collate information to support design and development activities.
  • Perform design reviews, equipment integration, profiling, and testing, and provide leadership on mechanical issues to the project team.
Requirements
  • Ability to work onsite at our facility with an Integrated Product Team, being hands-on with hardware.
  • Experience in the design, integration, or testing of mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Competent using 3-D CAD Modeling Tools (CREO preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5 standards).
  • Proficient at one or more of Aircraft Structures Design, Ground Structures Design, Electronics Packaging, or Platform Integration.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) degree program.
