About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Insight Global in Indianapolis. As a key member of our aerospace and defense team, you will be responsible for leading and assisting with the development and testing of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems using CREO and CAD programs
  • Lead and assist with the development and testing of prototypes
  • Ensure that all mechanical designs meet industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with other engineers and designers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems
  • Research and recommend vendors for parts and materials
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and drawings
Requirements
  • 4-10 years of mechanical design experience or 2+ years of DOD background
  • Background in aerospace, DOD, automotive, or medical device
  • Design experience with CREO, CAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or other related tools
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM
  • Familiarity with creating engineering drawings and GD&T
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • System integration experience or integration onto a vehicle
  • Product design experience in metallics, sheet metal parts, machine parts, etc.
  • DOD or aerospace experience
