Role Overview:

The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in the Hardware Engineering division, focusing on the development of cutting-edge airborne systems. This includes, but is not limited to, communication links, sensor systems, airborne armament, and cockpit displays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the integration of both new and existing systems across various platforms, including airborne, shipborne, and ground vehicles.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative products and enhance existing designs.
  • Utilize 3-D CAD modeling software to create design solutions that align with product specifications.
  • Engage in hands-on activities, including hardware assembly and prototype development.
  • Conduct design reviews and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address mechanical challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship with eligibility for a DoD Secret level clearance.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in mechanical design or related fields.
  • Proficiency in 3-D CAD tools, preferably CREO.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to perform trade studies and capture essential system requirements.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with airborne systems, cockpit displays, avionics, and radar technologies.
  • Familiarity with prototyping and agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and structural design principles.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related STEM field is required.
