Job Title: Team Manager

At Whole Foods Market, we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Manager to join our team in Hyannis, MA. As a Team Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our store by leading and developing a high-performing team, driving sales growth, and maintaining exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of retail professionals to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
  • Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader to analyze sales reports, labor data, and customer feedback to inform business decisions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor paperwork.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, respond promptly to customer needs, and direct team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel team members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
  • Conduct timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations to drive growth and development.
Requirements:
  • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Thorough product knowledge and advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
  • May require use of ladders.
