Job Title: Firefighter EMT

Job Summary:
AMR is seeking a highly skilled Firefighter EMT to join our team. As a Firefighter EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services, fire suppression, and hazardous material response. You will work closely with our team to ensure the safety of our patients and the community.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency medical calls and provide patient care in accordance with established protocols and Rural/Metro Fire Department policy.
  • Assist in the suppression of structural, residential, commercial, industrial, chemical, petroleum, vehicle, aircraft, and Wildland fires.
  • Operate various pieces of fire equipment and gear for fire suppression and control.
  • Conduct daily and weekly vehicle and equipment inspections as assigned.
  • Participate in all required training sessions, including live fire drills, performance evaluation drills, ongoing skills maintenance, practice, and training.

Qualifications:
  • IL certified BOF
  • State issued Registered EMT-B
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record in accordance with Rural/Metro policy
  • Able to work any assigned shift, including nights, holidays, and weekends

Education Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required.
