Job Title: EMT Lieutenant

Trinity Health is seeking an experienced EMT Lieutenant to lead our Specialty Care Transport Unit (SCTU).

Job Summary:

The EMT Lieutenant will be responsible for the overall and day-to-day operations of the SCTU. This includes coordinating input from upper level management to ensure operational objectives are met, assisting in the development of policies, procedures, and protocols directly related to the Specialty Care transport service line, and serving as the liaison between SCTU personnel and upper level management.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall and day-to-day operations of the SCTU.
  • Coordinates input from upper level management to ensure operational objectives are met.
  • Assists in the development of policies, procedures, and protocols directly related to the Specialty Care transport service line.
  • Serves as the liaison between SCTU personnel and upper level management.
  • Position requires constant monitoring and investigation of problems related to SCTU services.
Requirements:
  • State of Delaware EMT-B certification.
  • National Registry EMT-B certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a minimum of an Associate's degree, Bachelor's or equivalent preferred.
  • Considerable experience as a pre-hospital supervisor or public safety administrator.
  • Meets or exceeds current standards for Critical Care Paramedic II / FTO.
  • Instructorships preferred in ACLS, BCLS, PALS, PHTLS to facilitate subordinate training and education.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Completion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operator's Course (EVOC).
  • Current driver's license.
