Job Summary:

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking a highly qualified surgical pathologist to serve as the Director of Surgical Pathology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in surgical pathology, with experience in administration and management of a surgical pathology laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and research, and will be able to provide leadership and vision for the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative leadership as the Director of Surgical Pathology
  • Provide clinical subspecialty surgical pathology services
  • Provide classroom teaching to students and clinical teaching to residents
  • Participate in scholarly initiatives of the Department and the College of Medicine
Requirements:
  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • Fellowship training in surgical pathology
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex and busy surgical pathology laboratory
  • Experience in administration and management of a surgical pathology laboratory
  • Strong background in surgical pathology
